![]() ![]() For users uploading to an older GPS unit (one that doesn’t have a drive letter appear in windows explorer) DNR GPS prompts the user to upload tracks to Named tracks or to the Active Log. Note: Newer GPS units automatically save the track log information to the tracks, instead of saving to the Active Log. The next time the GPS is turned on this data will be incorporated into the main memory of the GPS. When you Upload data in DNRGPS a GPX file with a timestamp for a name gets placed on the Mass Storage Device into the upload folder (usually GARMIN/GPX). When the GPS is connected to the computer it shows up as a mass storage device (a Drive in Windows Explorer). ![]() Garmin Colorado, NUVI, Oregon models - These units have a different communication protocol with the computer and, therefore, have a bit different technique for Uploading/Downloading data. To change the name of a route you would change the rident value for the route header.To do this, find the first row of the second track (dark gray) and change the NEW_TRK value to False. To combine two tracks into a single saved track you would need to make the second track be a subset of the first.It is wise to export the branch before so you dont loose it in case. To change the name of an individual track you would change the IDENT value for the track header (the dark gray record).
